Theodore Presser Company - Distribution for Germany, Austria and Switzerland
Since January 1, 2005 Peermusic represents exclusively the catalogue of the Theodore Presser Company for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The Theodore Presser Company publishes mostly american composers - from Ralph Shapey to P.D.Q. Bach. With this association Peermusic Classical completes its Charles-Ives-Catalogue with more important works.
Steven Stucky begins the month in New York, when he is on the mentoring panel for the Underwood New Music Readings with the American Composers Orchestra (June 1–2) at the DiMenna Center. He will then be Senior Faculty at the June in Buffalo Festival and Conference (June 4-10), where Ensemble Interface will perform Piano Quartet, New York New Music Ensemble performs Ad Parnassum, and JoAnn Falletta leads the Buffalo Philharmonic in a performance of Jeu de timbres. Later in the month, he will join the faculty at the Choral Composers Forum at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA (June 23-29), where Steven Sametz and the Princeton Singers perform Whispers on the 20th, before traveling to Washington on the 30th to perform the piece at the American Choral Directors Association National Symposium on Choral Music.
Also mentoring at the ACO Underwood New Music Readings (June 1– 2) is Melinda Wagner, who later in the month travels to New Smyrna Beach, Florida, where she will be in residence at the Atlantic Center for the Arts from late June to mid-July. During that time, the Center will hold a public welcome reception in honor of the artist residents, and Wagner will also participate in an event which includes a performance of her music and where she will give a short lecture.
